Phone Suggestion

Pulled the trigger on a 1520 for ~$220. After looking at features I care about, the two most appealing are the 640 and 1520. The 640 because it's a great value an does everything I really need. The 1520 because it's not a lot more than the the other better phones, and it's a lot better. I couldn't see any reason to go to phone between the two. Figured the faster processor and extra RAM of the 1520 will be nicer as well. And the huge display. And Amazon, so I can send it back for any reason if needed.

Ohhh my thread seemed to have gotten lively. Rather than creating a new thread I might as well hitch on my own thread HAHA.

If we put into consideration the future of the WP, performance wise, will 1GB of RAM still suffice? I mean, there will be many updates and all, so will 1GB be good enough? Specifically the Lumia 830, cause that's what I am going to buy sometime this month.

16GB Internal Storage and 1GB RAM seems to be the new minimum that OEMs are using. Presumably, they are given system requirements by Microsoft... My guess is that that will hold at least through Redstone 2.

1520 I bought didn't work out. It had some performance issues - it would stop responding to touch input and and then run all the inputs in succession a few seconds later. Or lose them. Unpredictable and odd. Occasionally had to reboot to get touch input working again. It went back.

Reconsidered all my options and still feel like low end or high end is still the way to go. $60 or less for a good phone or $200+ for a great one. I found an open box 950 for $300. Assuming it looks and works as new, it should be a great fit for me.
