Picture Resolution Issue

For as long as I can remember, whenever I viewed 480 x 800 images (800 x 480 sideways) in the pictures hub, I would double-tap and the image would get clearer and no bigger, since the screen resolution is 480 x 800. But now, if I try the same thing, the image gets bigger. And because it gets larger than the screen's resolution, it looks blurry.

What is going on? Is this a Mango bug?

I am running WP v7.10.7720 on a Samsung Focus rev. 1.3.

It's just a feature so you can do a zoom into a high resolution photo.

If you have a huge resolution picture the phone will display it first at 480 X 800 then on every tap of the screen it will zoom in without any loss of quality.

If your photo is only 800 x 480 to start with, when you zoom in the pixels are doubled in size so looks blurry or blocky.
