The new W10 TP camera app is capable of taking HDR photos, and has a slightly different processing algorithm. I have taken a few photos today comparing Lumia Camera (classic version, on a WP8.1 635), W10TP Camera on auto, and W10TP Camera with HDR enabled.

The HDR function works well, bringing out detail and brightening up everything, but the overall image processing algorithm is soft in comparison to the much sharper photos taken with Lumia Camera on WP8.1.

One thing I really like about the Lumia 635 camera is that you can often take decent shots in low light handheld. This was handheld at dusk and if my dog hadn't been tugging on his leash it might have been sharper. I think the low-light colors come out nicely. With ProShot.

Springtime allergies are kicking my **** right now in Virginia USA. Part of the reason they are so bad is that I have two flowering trees in my front yard. Here is a picture I took with my 635 using ProShot and default settings this morning. I hope the upload doesn't downrez this picture too much because blown up it is really beautiful. I love the depth of field of the branches in the back being out of focus. This is very impressive for a phone at this price point IMO!

I'm really starting to dislike the WP version of Tapatalk.. It looks like it uploaded the hires version of that pic, but it will only show me the super-low-res version. It also shows me only the low-res version of that beautiful boat picture.
