Closeups are good, bright lights are good. Landscape pics with even slightly low light are really noisy. Dark pics are useless.
How fast does it focus, this is the No.2 camera feature in my opinion, besides collecting good light.
I was inspired by this thread so on a recent outing I left my trusty Canon Powershot at home and took photos exclusively with a Nokia Lumia 820 instead. I was pleased with the results, especially after seeing the lower quality photos other people took of the same outing with their phones!
Here are a couple of them. The rest of the photos, in higher resolution, are here: Paddleboard Yoga at Satanka Cove, Horsetooth Reservoir. All but Images 8 & 9 (which were taken by another person) were taken with my Lumia 820 using Lumia Camera or HDR Photo Camera Lite (Image 7) with no or minimal post-processing.
