plastic cover on back camera

ive noticed that theres this small plastic covering in the back camera/lens of my 620 since i bought it
since day 1 ive never removed it, which may be is affecting my photos whenever i use flash

im afraid of scratching the back lens camera so im just keeping it
but should i remove it to gain better photos?
do you guys also have this small plastic covering in your back lens/camera when you bought yours?

Yea but you are supposed to remove it and don't worry about scratching your lens as it is slightly lower than the rest of the back so it will be fine
