Playlists gone after 8.1 update

So far I love the 8.1 update. It seems like it kept all my music on my phone but I can't find any of my playlists. Did this happen to anyone else and is there any way to get them? I can restore my big ones from syncing (although I'm assuming syncing still sucks) but some I had made on my phone.

ANy help appreciated.

I have this problem too! My other phone on the preview had no problem syncing playlists, but
this phone on the official 8.1 release with cyan thinks there are no playlists

After several hours they appeared for me

I've made a playlist sync once to a new playlist... but I've done the *exactly* the same thing again and again and no luck. My present lists on the phone will not update either no matter what how many times I sync them.

Who do we go after for an answer though: Microsoft or Nokia? I'm willing to pursue them for it because this one issue is affecting my attitude towards the phone.

Something is definitely wrong when functionality is removed from a device as part of an update.
