Podcasts automatically runs in background

I haven't touched podcasts since the dawn of humanity, but wtf is this??? When I found this out I immediately turn off run in background (

From the home screen swipe right to settings --> click Battery Saver
--> click show all apps -->
click on podcast --> turn off allow app to run in the background. Exit the app and you are done.

Hmm. Don't know. Did you try soft reset on your phone? try it anyway.

Press and hold the power button and volume down button together for 15 secs or untill phone vibrates.

I knowwwwwwww... I'm not a noob )) you sure are a very caring person )) that's a compliment, anyway. I did that and apparently things have gone back to normal. That was so surprising. I opened battery saver and see my battery usage shot to hell by both the podcast and Yahoo mail ))
