Open settings (windows button + i) > Go to "devices" (you can navigate by pressing tab button on your keyboard once and then moving around with arrow keys) > Choose Mouse & touchpad settings (maneuver around the same way) > Choose Additional mouse options > this will open a new smaller window; choose to reset your device
You can also try disabling realtek hd audio manager if you have it. Open task manager, go to the startup tab and disable it. Reboot the machine (seems weird but give it a shot)
