Reasons for Downloading Google Chrome on Your Windows Phone

This article suggests Google may release an official Chrome app for WP. I don't know how credible it actually is or if the site that posted it is reputable. I know more than a few WP users like Google and their services, so in the spirit of "raising awareness" and plain chance, I thought I would share the link with the community. Thoughts?

P.S-I stand pretty sure this isn't the first link on it to be shared, but I use this site via the Windows Central WP app and nothing in the recent searches showed this in either recent news or forum threads.

I'd really like this to be true. I hope it ends up being true but with Google's history with Microsoft and Windows Phone I'm not holding my breath...

Does the fact that chrome tracks every single thing you do online and sends it to google not bother anyone? And doesn't their TOS still state that anything you post or create becomes the property of google? Just for a few fancy widgets?

It's true, but some people just swear by or plain like using Google services over anyone else's. Choice is the spice of life and while I personally wont use Google any more, I'd like to see them develop first party apps for WP to A) increase app selection, B) increase the user base, and C) bring more serious attention from developers to bring their apps to the ecosystem and increase the quality of their work. Google developing for WP is a huge win for the platform. If developers are more focused with bringing 3rd party solutions, then as a platform we're at a reduced capacity to bring innovate or original apps to the store. That's something I'd like to see change.

For the love of all that is holy, we don't have a first party YouTube app. Granted I'd like to see the ability to sign in there with my Microsoft account, but that's a different subject.

the possibility of a Chrome app for WP could be possible, since now must the applications be universal and the upgrade of the conduct code of the market place and store of WP and also that now android got their "best version" that can do the L version can be more probabilities that now they start to develop an app for windows phone, , if google is so sure that Android L will be the new era in smartphone OS what have to loose if release chrome, youtube for the Redmond platform, is all up from developers now
