Thanks a lot.. But if the later is the case then i think MSFT should have mentioned it properly.

No company mentions anything like that. This is a technical implementation every phone has. It is well known that GPU will use shared memory. Even in your antutu info you will see GPU shared memory. This doesn't mean the memory is not available for use. It simply means the GPU has priority to this memory when being used. You can get a program like AIDA 64 and see that it shows 3GB LPDDR4 memory. The phone has 3 gigs, nothing will change that. All 3 gigs will be used appropriately.

Interested in what you think

Running 14905, my 1520 scores over 61k. Compared to the 950xl its quite level and sometimes beats the 950xl apart from 3d scores. The 1520 scores only 15% of what the 950xl does in the 3d tests.

I've seen videos where both devices play dead trigger 2, asphalt 8 just as well and also where the 1520 loads the games quicker

So you think the antutu scores are reliable, not that it matters too much as I still love my 1520

Thanks Matt

I knew I had a high performance phone...I had no idea it would be this high!

LG-G5, No root, running Nova launcher, Android 7.0: I've been averaging about 145,000. I've screen capped 15 scores with results ranging from 143,000 to 150,000. This is about 15% higher than Antutu's own average for this phone. Any idea why? The 3D score is stunning

Haven't seen anyone post this phone yet so here we go...

Unlocked from T-Mo Alcatel Idol 4S Windows. Running latest official 14393.693. Soft Reset before benchmarking.

114608 not too bad.

Put it second on the recent ranking and 3 slots above a 950 XL.

Here's some more particulars.

The 950 XL is the highest scoring snapdragon 810 phone, yet the 4S is the lowest scoring snapdragon 820 phone.
Really weird, even in general use, it is slower than the 950 XL. Any one know why?
Maybe firmware for performace or W10M will is not yet optimized for this processor yet as it is only 32bit, therefore, the snapdragon 820 is not using its full potential?

Did you soft reset your phone first to clear out the memory? My Idol 4S outscored the 950 XL handily in the post right above yours. I came in above every phone except iPhone 6S.

Not soft reset, but I did reboot. I actually got the same score as you, 114,000.
If you look at the lg G5 above (145,000) and oneplus 3 (140,000), this 4S is much lower. The 3d and UX i/o performance are much lower as well
