got it, had to change [HKLM\ControlPanel\themes\0\pageBackGroundColor]

Did you go into your settings and reset the them by selecting the dark one and then reselecting the light one. Also you pressed ok after you changed it.

I got it, I changed the wrong key! Guess I'll be up late perfecting my theme!

Hahah....its actually kind of fun once you get the hang of it.

Nice! What do you change to get the bottom portion to change. In the dialer, everything has change,except the bottom tray.

the bottom tray is the chromecolor. To take a screenshot use this handy program [XAP] Screen capture program (Based on "The DllImport Project") - xda-developers

When I get some time, I will definitely look into doing this customization.

I'll probably stick to darker color (to preserve battery life).

It'll be hacked again in a matter of weeks. But If I'm stuck with just the current tile color scheme, I would consider dumping WP7. Those default colors are just to rainbowish.
