I've been looking for a way to print to .pdf ever since I upgraded to 8.1. I vaguely remember being able to do so in the preview. I unfortunately cant use the HP Photosmart All-in-one I was using with the 8.1 preview either.

Anyone have any solutions on how to print to .pdf?

Thanks,

1. Open PDF Document
2. Right mouse click anywhere on the pdf document
3. Select print from the menu provided.

Hope I didn't misinterpret your issue.

I'm not sure what type of file you're trying to print, but if it's a office document, you should be able to "save as" a pdf. I haven't tried to save other items or print other items to pdf(like if i was in maps or something), so i can't offer any advice that way.

You can print to an XPS document or at Least to OneNote. I do both depending on the situation when no printer is avail. The OneNote page can be then converted to a word doc that you can then save as a PDF... More work, but that is an option if PDF is an absolute must have.. XPS docs work well enough...

Thanks, I've been using XPS to get this done. I remembered I can always use a print screen or screen capture function while in IE and save as a .png or .jpg. I thought there was a Save as .pdf function in IE for windows 8.x.
