Problem with emails after 8.1?

My email seemed to work fine after I initially updated. Trying to tweak the email to save battery, I went into email and accounts, but it always seems to show the "loading" screen and then kicks me out. I got email yesterday. But nothing today. I tried to manually sync the emails by hitting the refresh icon but nothing shows up. I know I have email because it's there on my surface. My phone is currently set to battery saver (always) to save some juice. I tried to switch to normal but the same thing happens. I'm on the L920 Anyone else have this problem?

What kind of email account are you using? Outlook.com, Gmail, work account, something from your ISP?

I had a problem with all my emails. 2 yahoo and 1 Gmail. I'm pretty sure it had to do with "battery saver always on" I get the emails now
