Problem with outdoor pictures (flash)

My friend is having a problem with his Lumia 1020 when taking low light outdoor pictures with flash on.
He says that everything is fine during the day and when he is taking indoor low light pictures with the flash, but as soon as he take outdoor picture he is getting some kind of red blur in the top center of the photo, he sent me two examples:





Anyone had/have similar problem? His phone is on 8.1 and he is not sure is it software or hardware related. And i am not sure too, that's why i'm asking you guys to help if anyone had similar problem, can this be solved or it's hardware?

Does your friend have a case/cover? That can be a potential reason for the red shade. This doesn't seem software related.

Lol yes he does! Silicon case.
He didn't even mention that to me. As soon as you posted this he sent me PM on the other forum saying me that his silicon case was problem so he took it off the phone.

Case closed, and i am sorry. lol
