Problem with the compass on Lumia 640

Hello guys, when i use any app, which require the work of the compass sensor, a problem occur: the arrow cant stop flickers. I have this problem on both Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile.

do you have a cover or case that you use with your phone? Does it have a magnet inside? That can affect the compass

No I don't use any accessories on my phone.

try it out in the open - if it still flickers and isn't steady in any direction, it could be an issue with the internal sensor that senses magnetic fields

I still have the problem when I remove the phone's back cover.

My daughter's 640 was doing the same thing, but after numerous attempts to calibrate it, it finally stopped jumping and started showing somewhat of a true direction for North. I just kept making the figure 8 motion and it finally started working.
