I have two computers in the same home network. One is running win 10 the other win 7. They are set up to use advanced network sharing and have the same user accounts. But every time i want to access shared folders on win 10 from win 7 i get several problems.

First the win 10 machine appears after a minute or so on the network. It takes quite long.

Then it asks for username and pw although the pcs have the same account. I have already given the user r/w permissions for the shares but still it keeps asking for login. After typing the login everything works. But access is slow and the win 10 pc needs seconds to verify access.

With previously two win 7 computers it worked flawlessly!?

said nothing about sharing settings
Look at
Control Panel\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings

private and all networks , at the bottom of all networks is the password setting
