Problems detecting local wireless hotspot created by my laptop

Hi, got a new nokia 925. I want my laptop to it using the laptops own wireless hotspot. However the phone can't seem to find it. Any ideas?

I want to use it so i can take control of my laptop using my phone, without wasting data.
