Hey guys, I'm new to windows phone and bought the nokia 520 because it was perfect for what I needed ( which was mostly reading books and magazines on the go with the accessibility of a phone). So I just installed both Adobe reader and PDF reader from microsoft but I'm having troubles opening a .pdf file. The file is about 90 megs big and is quite heavy graphically speaking. Adobe reader just keeps loading and then just quits all of the sudden while the microsoft pdf reader just shows me blank pages after loading.

I'm not sure if it's because the pdf is graphically heavy or whether it's something wrong with the software. The thing being that I'm pretty sure that the specs on the phone can handle this file. I'm able to play 720p 10-bit videos with only a little bit of stuttering which is perfectly understandable, and the phone does have a gpu, so I don't see why I'd be unable to load this file.

Your phones ability to play video is normally accelerated through the GPU or CPU. Rendering PDF isn't. Try to convert/compress the file eg with bullzip to a smaller size or split ir.. I guess it tries to load all the file at once.

Perhaps another PDF reader app ?

Btw PDF files can be both a "picture" and text with graphics, normally the first one is harder to work with (and you cannot eg copy text from it without errors)
