Problems to erase my phone

Hi,

My phone got stolen yesterday. I blocked my SIM card but I also need to erase all the data on it. I wanted to do it through Finding a lost Windows Phone | Windows Phone How-to (India)

But I couldn't do it. I bought this phone in the US, with an American SIM card, and I now live in France, with a French SIM card. When they asked me to enter my phone number, there was writte "+1" in front of it, and I couldn't erase it. So I put my American phone number, which is stupid because the American SIM card is not in there. And now, I can't change the phone number. Any ideas?

Contact Microsoft directly since they'll be able to help. Now sure which country you need to contact (assuming Microsoft France)
