Problems with accessories

My power cord is frayed, some of the keys on my power cover barely work, and I've read about pen problems. Regarding my power cord, the black rubber covering from the tablet to the brick has completely frayed off in multiple places and is cracked in many others, exposing the underlying wiring which is only covered with a thin layer of clear plastic. On the Microsoft store website, many reviews on the replacement cord report the same problem, and now the cord is sold out.

I really like my SP2, but I've only had it for 9 months, and if MS doesn't provide support with replacement accessories (which shouldn't be failing anyway), I'll have to switch to some other tablet, and it won't the be the larger SP3. This is a very disappointing experience with Microsoft.
 
Contact your retailer. That's a manufacturing fault (unless you've misused it) and it should be covered under warranty (dependent on where you live).
