Problems with WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger!

I recently updated to the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 for developers. Since then I've been having problems with WhatsApp and FB Messenger. Whenever I try to launch WhatsApp, it just stays stuck at the green screen, no movement, nothing. Then with FB Measenger, everything is perfect but when I open messages for my individual friends, the messaging history doesn't show and I'm unable to send a message either.
I noticed one more thing, in storage sense, my temporary files shows 0 bytes. I don't know whether the two problems are connected.
I'm using a Lumia 720 in India. Any help will be much appreciated!

Uninstall apps reinstall. Remove sc card reboot phone and reinstall card

I cant consider reinstalling WhatsApp. I don't want to loose my messages and Groups m part of. The backup file is also an old one.
