Production units / sold units?

Does anybody have some reliable information about how many Band microsoft has actually sold (or produced for that matter)?

I am just curious how successful this product is in actual numbers. My (very superficial) google searches did not lead to anything.

Microsoft says they have sold 'well beyond' 5,000 units of Microsoft Band | Windows Central

This is an old article lol, but the point is that MS never planned to have this many out. They never expected to even hit 5000, but they did, in a short span of time. We can assume that number lies significantly higher now, because there is credible news that a band 2.0 is coming out later this year
