Proje Sunburst - can't connect to server

Ever since yesterday when I launch Project Sunburst I get a message saying it can't connect to Xbox Live or the Project Sunburst server. This happens on WiFi and 3g and has happened before and after yesterday's game update. Anyone else having problems?

Things went back to normal on their own. I still can't join friends' bases though. I've seen a few people on the Xbox forums with the same issue.
