Purity Pro play button not working (8.1 issue?)

Hi folks,

I've had a Purity Pro headset for about a year. The build quality isn't great a year down the line, but the really annoying thing is my play button has stopped working.

A few days ago, it got super sensitive - pressing it once thought I pressed it twice and started to call random people. And now it isn't working at all. Other buttons, volume for instance, don't seem to be affected. Resetting to factory settings isn't helping.

I'm running them from a Nokia 1520 and Windows 8.1 Preview.

My question is: Has anyone had a similar issue, or should I relate this to the 8.1 Beta and hope it fixes itself. I doubt it's in warrantee any more.

It's not an issue with Windows 8.1
I had the same issue with the button failing.

I complained to Nokia and had the Purity Pro replaced under warranty.

I have the same problem, 8.1 preview. Not sure is software related. Also, the sound keeps cutting off, never had a problem before.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem, play button it's not working anymore, all other buttons are working just fine.
I really like my wireless Purity Pro and I don't want to give up using them.
Has any of you resolved this issue?
Obviously the warranty does not apply anymore because I bought them about 18 months ago. Is there any place that it can be fixed?

It seems to be a very common problem with this set. Expect the battery to fail next.
Nothing short of poor quality control.
Nokia really did put their name to some seriously inferior items before their demise.
