Push or Fetch Email?

I did a search for this, but couldn't find anything on it...

When you set the phone to get e-mails "as they arrive", is it true push or is it constantly polling? I'm asking because this could have a big effect on battery life.

Another way to ask it is... which gets better battery life, getting items "as they arrive" or fetching every 30 minutes?

Its True push with minimal battery draw. If its POP or Pull mail it the A"as it arrives" choice will not be there so you cant choose it.
