Hi All,

I was wondering, i have the Surface Pro 3 (512GB / Intel i7 Version), if it can handle new steam games such as Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse or hopefully the new Arkham Knight game. Has anyone used their SP3 to play Triple A video game titles? If so how was it?

The Surface is powerful device. But the Surface has a intel graphic card and these card are not for gaming. I would recommend to watch YouTube for "Surface Pro 3 gaming" and you will find alot of gaming test with the Surface Pro 3. I saw a video with GTA5 on 30 FPS on the surface.

Gaming problems on a Surface Pro 3 is based on 2 main reasons:
- "just" a internal Intel HD 5000 graphic card - far away to handle the performance for AAA games...
- SoC - CPU and GPU are on a single chip, both can push the heat quite fast to upper limits (about 90 degrees)... if this happens thermal throttling will be activated, CPU and GPU performance drops...

I currently use my Surface Pro 3 (i7 + 256 GB) for playing World of Warcraft occasionally, with low setting and 1440x900 resolution I get 50-80 fps and the game is playable, but WoW is for sure no AAA game... ;-)
