[Q] Should I expect the 950XL to charge well on a USB2 connection to desktop PC?

Does the cord that came w/ the Lumia 950XL require a USB-3 connection on the host computer to charge effectively? I am forced to connect to a desktop for syncing that uses older USB2 ports and don't see the battery charge going up, although it does indicate it's connected to AC.

Using the AC plug or a QI pad works fine, just when connected via USB-C to a USB2 port do things slow down considerably or don't charge at all. Thanks -

My new Qifinity wireless charger barely charges my 950XL, actually the other night the device died (from about 40% to dead) while on the charger. I've since purchased new QC 2.0 chargers for around the house and my car

Try a hub with fast charge ports

This thing needs a lot of power. USB 2.0 spec is 5V 0.5A so thats 2.5W which is kinda slow for this thing...
My computer takes about ~2 hrs to fully charge the phone, i would recommend getting a brick that has a higher current output. The Surface Pro brick works well
