[Q] WP8.1 for Lumia 1520 stability?

I've become aware of one person experiencing a "bricking" of their AT&T Lumia 1520 after trying to update it with the Dev Preview. They used the Nokia recovery program to restore it.

Are others experiencing this same concern? Is it safe to use the Dev Preview on an AT&T Lumia 1520?

I have a 1520 and have 8.1 and have not experienced any real issues, other than the poor Xbox Music service. The app is very bad on Windows Phone 8.1, but the whole Xbox music experience has been very bad, so this is really nothing new, the 8.1 app just catches up with the other platforms. I also put 8.1 on a 1020, 520, and 920 with no problems.
