Q9c 6.1 upgrade???

Hi all, i was wondering if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction. I have the Q9c and it still has 6.0 on it, when i tried to upgrade to 6.1, the program said my phone was out of warranty and is not allowed to upgrade. Is there a way around this? I would really like to check out 6.1. I have been looking all over the place to try to figure out how to bypass that step but cant find anything, could you guys help me out please?
