question about Wpcentral app and windows app billing in general

just curious my linked email address on my 1320 i went to buy the app asked me to put in my email checked my bank and it billed my visa check card, but funny thing is i dont remember EVER linking or giving them my card number, so was wondering how they billed it... rly:

If you've used that card for any other Microsoft services linked to that email account Xbox for example it carriers over to windows phone
