Hi folks. I have a few questions for you.

I just bought the Lumia 830 from Fido because it was 100$ cheaper than Telus (my previous provider). However, I realize that Fido signal strength in my area is much weaker than Telus. So I would like to switch back to Telus and bring the Fido phone with me. Here are my questions:

1. Is it possible? Fido uses RM-985 model (RM-985_1000). What model does Telus use?

2. If it is possible, who can unlock my phone (Fido or Telus or myself)?

3. Will I still get LTE with Telus?

4. And finally, do I have something else to do like updating the firmware?

Thanks very much for your help.

Ben

All providers are required to unlock your device if you ask, for a fee of course. I think Fido charges $35 to unlock.
For the rest (LTE, etc), I haven't a clue...

LTE will work, RM-985 is North American LTE friendly model that has 700/1700 LTE bands which Telus uses.
