Questions about data sense?

Does anyone know how to pin the data sense tile to the start screen? I have inputted the info regarding my data limit but it is not pinning. Also, does data sense consume data for it to work? Thanks!

It is exactly the same as any other tile. I had it on the main screen just after the updating to Amber. But if you don't have it just find it in the menu and long touch it and from the drop menu choose the proper option.
