Questions about screen blackouts on Lumia 830

Hi,
1. How many of you are experiencing Screen & Button-Backlight blackouts on W10M, even on last update 10586.218. (everything on screen goes black for about half a second, and on WP 8.1 that does not happen)?

2. How many of you have noticed that it happens less often when the "Battery Saver" is active?

3. How often does it happen on your phone?

Not experiencing it here, RM-935 running latest firmware and W10M .218. Never happened on 8.1 either.

See it virtually every day on mine, RM-984, CV GBIE rom with the latest firmware whatever that is, certainly no update available. It never happens on WP8.1 and has always happened on W10M, from when I started trying it out anyway around last September onwards, straight through to the current .218 build.

It is so random, I can go half a day and not see it at all and then it can happen 2 or 3 times in a row, on the start screen or in an app. I can't say that I've seen it less on Battery Saver Mode as that is set to cut in at 20% and I never really let my mobile get that low, maybe I should force it into Battery Saver Mode and see how I get on, although that would be a pain as I think I would have to manually fetch my emails...

In addition to this momentary black out I also occasionally see a white flashing, most notable on the start screen as it is behind all the tiles, looks a bit odd and I'm almost expecting the mobile to fry and a little puff of smoke whisp up out of the thing.

Good thread and lets hope others chime in and maybe we could find a pattern, it seems like the RM-935 (Andrew) doesn't have this issue...

Are you certain about your RM-935 model?

I know only of RM-983 (only for AT&T); RM-984 (for Europe) and RM-985 (for America) models....

Never heard about RM-935 model, probably is RM-985...

Yes,
I get this on quite a frequent basis. I haven't counted yet but some apps in particular are more prone to it. These include messaging and camera. The delay with the camera is really irritating because it means I am missing lots of opportunities for snapping pics. The camera app has become even more unreliable now and simply won't load. The only way I can currently take photos is via Office Lens.

It was very frequent on the last build, coupled with the annoying flickering video during playback . On current 14328, the blackouts does occur randomly once in a long time but I'm more happy they fixed the flickering video.

About 10 times a day, no logic, sometimes on the start screen, sometimes in apps, sometimes it happens like 3 times in a row within 5 minutes, sometimes it won't happen for several hours. All it needs is a firmware update...

I get momentary blackouts with Windows 10 but it has only occurred since the last update. the update before that caused the screen to flicker when I used the media player to watch video or use I heart radio.
