Having owned the L920 for over a year now I'm thinking about upgrading to either the 1520 or the 929/icon. But the 929 is verizon exclusive, so first of:

Will the icon work in europe (Norway to be specific)? Have seen some for sale on ebay

Generally about the phone:

1. How is the screen? I mean, it have full hd resolution and 441ppi? Is the colors clear and crisp? Compared to 920
2. Read something about that the icon doesn't have Glance? Is this false or will it come to the phone?
3. Is the screen very exposed to scratches?
4. How is the phone to hold? The icon is more square than previous phones.
5. How is the battery? How long will it last with average use.
6. Is the camera on par with the 1520?

Remember the 928 is not the Icon. The 929 is the icon. It'd be really unfortunate if you bought a 928 thinking you were getting the icon.

It's 929/Icon, not 928. :) I think it's a global phone, don't remember for sure.

1) Great, loving it. Colors pop, blacks are black, everything looks sharp. Really good.
2) True, Nokia "isn't ruling it out", but there's no ETA.
3) It has GG3, which will resist scratches from common pocket borne items, but IT WILL SCRATCH IF ABUSED. Sand is a huge culprit.
4) It's got some mass to it, not light, and the edges are sharp. It doesn't bother me much, but it isn't the most comfortable phone I've ever held. It feels substantial though, like you're holding something meant to last, which is nice.
5) I get a full day, easy, with no troubles and moderate use.
6) Yup, it's the same shooter.

Haha, sorry my bad... I was meaning to write 929 not 928 :p So you think the 929 will work in europe?
Thanks for the answers, too bad about the the glance, I'm too used to the doubletap...

Rumors abound that Nokia will release a global variant. I'm fairly confident they will, and that it will look a bit different than the Icon, but be essentially the same phone, so you can imagine they'll want to get Glance working.

It'd be prudent to wait if you're going to be using it overseas.

Yes it will work in Europe as it a global with GSM bands built in. but you service & data speed will vary. Your other questions have been answered in other posts, search button is your friend
