Ok, HTC promised rapid charging and even sold me a special charger to do it -
Will it just be another failed promise?

I've never seen the M8 for Win on the supported device list. It is a deal between Qualcomm and the charger though, so it should in theory work, but "official support" for anything M8 for Windows is all be done.

Quick Charge 2.0 works great! It's the only way I charge with the M8.

I have never seen a difference between my 2.0 quick charge block and a regular one. Is there something you need to do to turn it on?

No it's automatic. It should go to 0-50 in 30 minutes. If your not getting that something might be wrong with the charger or your cable.

Yes, there's actually another pin that's used for Quick Charge 2.0 that isn't used in a regular USB.

That it doesn't, the cable itself has all the pins already, no matter the cable. Just one more gets used that normally doesn't.

I just purchased a smart quick charger by - Tenergy- and M8 is not quick charging. The smart charger auto detects and gives an LED indicator for what speed it is charging. It is indicating regular fast charge and not QC2.0.

I've got the Aukey quick charge 2.0 blocks I use. They charge the phone just fine and very fast, whether I was on WP 8.1 or Windows 10.
