Really low volume through head phones

Hi All,
Just today my music volume through my head phones is really low. Barely audible. Works fine without the headphones in.
Had my Lumia 520 for over a year and this is the first time it has happened, not damaged it that I am aware of!?
Any ideas?

Test them on some other device, if it's working fine that may be a problem, if not, it's just the headphones.
Also, this may sound disrespectful, but have you pushed the jack all the way in? Sometimes it happens that you don't plug it right so the sound is low/weird.

Try rebooting the phone. Had this issue once before and that corrected it on my 920
