For some reason when I receive pictures via a text, they are blurry/pixelated. I'll have the sender send it to my email and the picture will be fine. Also it never used to do this, so obviously there is something wrong with my phone. I couldn't find anything online so I assume this is not a common problem. Do you guys have any ideas?

It's a bit hard to help you when you haven't told us what your phone is, any details which could help. Did it start after an update?

Phone seems to be 8X, hence the forum title...
whatsapp does compress pics, same with facebook and others. So i think thats normal? But not sure.

Exactly, and there was no update.
I find that hard to believe. None of my friends' phones have this issue and as I said mine didn't have this problem until probably just over a month ago. I've had the phone since December 2012.
