Hi,

Wondering if anyone that has replaced their broken display recently can recommend a vendor?

It appears that I managed to crack the AMOLED screen itself while helping to push a car (I don't think it actually cracked the glass itself as the lines I can see are very faint and you have to tilt the phone to really see them not that it matters).

Are the ones advertised as "LCD" replacements on eBay LCD or AMOLED?

I just had mine replaced last week. I was overwhelmed with the amount of/ similarities of all the screens that were on ebay, and spoiler alert, most repair shops don't carry them. I looked online for a local (not a mail-away) phone repair place and made a couple calls. I found I guy to do it. He charged me 120 and bought it on ebay, then repaired it by watching a youtube video on how to replace it. If your in Orange County I can give you the guys name, but my advice is to just look for a local place, they will know what one to buy. hope this helps

I ended up buying this one for $63.99 as it showed the Microsoft logo and the price was right.

Good news is it came packed in this nice little hard case and looked as advertises (appears to be a genuine original part). Even better was that it came with the vibrator and the speaker though not shown. Bad news was that it did not come with the power/volume/camera flex cable installed as shown so we had to pull the one off the old frame and transfer it to the new frame. The display looks original and everything works great except the camera button. :( Since the volume and power buttons work fine I'm assuming we damaged it somehow pulling it off.

I hope the vendor can help since their picture does show it installed (at least give me some money back since the part was not quite as advertised especially for one of the key items that I was looking at). Good news is that it's only 13 screws to get to it for replacement.
