Recovery Key for LG Lancet

My phone was in a black screen state so the Verizon consultants recommended a factory reset. Unfortunately I was not able to turn off reset protection before the reset Because of my inability to access anything on my phone. I tried signing into my Microsoft account with no success and then tried disabling with recovery key. For some reason Microsoft has also deleted all my devices from my account. Is there any way to connect a phone to my account online? According to Verizon I need to send the device to LG which I don't have time for. I have owned this phone for about a year and a half. Thanks!
