recurring appointments reminder problem

I have recurring appointments set upon my calendar and they always remind me after the initial setup, but after the first reminder it never reminds me again. It stays on my calander but the alarm never goes off unless I delete it and enter it again. I must be setting it up wrong. I set it for 15min before and recurring every weekday. Any help would be much appreciated please.
 
How long is the appointment set for? It's not an all day event right? And you have 'every weekday' set under the Occurs field?
 
I have it set for 30 minutes and it's set for every weekday. When it goes off it has only dismiss and snooze, I press dismiss, not sure if it's a bug or just my phone.
 
And you see it on your calendar for each day? I have never seen this issue myself, dismiss only removes the reminder for the occurrence not the entire series. Is this via an Exchange account or Microsoft account?
 
I have it set up through my live account. Not really sure if there's anything I can do about it, I've tried doing things different when I set it up like not putting the people in attendance and such, but it doesn't help.
