Reference to the messaging app in outlook on PC

Just saw this.
When i click on a phone number in an email on the new outlook app for PC in windows 10. It pops up the contact with the option to message them using "ms-messaging".
Just curious as to how long its been there?
There is also the option to call the number that takes you to the store to to select an app that can do it.
