So the linked method definitely works. I tested it after setting up a Recovery Drive and it definitely works. Boots without asking for power and allows a recovery overwrite of C:/... Added more files to the Leef Bridge (which is slick as all get out BTW) and the boot to/Recovery functions still intact.

I then followed the set up Recovery Drive a second time and deleted my Recovery Partition from C:/ which freed up 4.713GB of space.

​Sorry it took me so long to report back on this. I kept getting sidetracked.
