I transferred everything on my sd card that I had in my Lumia 520 to my laptop and I've now lost my data from the Calendar app. Is there any way to restore this?

Your calendar should auto sync with the Microsoft Account, you can only disable email sync for your primary microsoft account.
To double check, go to calendar.live.com and sign in with your microsoft account.
