Restoring SP3 type cover?

Back in August of last year I bought a Red type cover to go with my SP3. Functionally it has served flawlessly since then, but aesthetically I have grown upset: the side of the cover that faces the touch screen is as vivid as the day I bought it, but the back side is now faded and worn. Does anyone have any methods of restoring or even modding the cover to remedy this? It's such a beautiful device that shouldn't be sullied by a worn fabric component, and it makes the product much less attractive for the people to whom I advertise!

Try a 'gentle' kitchen surface wipe (or bathroom). By gentle, I mean one with NO bleach content. Gently rub and leave to dry (a few minutes).
