Returning my 950 XL dual sim....bummer.Ha, got another

My Lumia 950 XL signal reception in a word: stinks.
Sorry for the debbie downer....I have to return the phone.
Part of the problem: it's competing with a Nexus 6 by Motorola.
Moto, by consensus, has the best reception in the business.
Combined with BT problems, general teething issues with W10P it mandates a return.
MS gives 30 days for unconditional return...this forced my hand.
Getting Edge instead of LTE reception is unacceptable.
This may be correctable via software/FW update....but it might not.
Will try WP again, love the concept.
Darn.

No issues with the Lumia 930 (mind you, that's a Nokia). I think the 950 was a bit rushed (just look at the state of the OS) so I'm not surprised it has its quirks, but I've not heard about this reception issue before. Possibly you just had a duff handset (well, more duff than they usually come)?

Good luck with the nexus 6. I've just come from a HTC M9 and thankfully don't have the same issues with my 950XL you have. marshmallow is a nice OS.

Where are you living, what cell service do you use and what firmware/OS version are you on?

Live on the Right coast in NJ. Using a AT&T mvno Consumer Cellular, Was on OS W10P *.71[?], FW don't remember.

Bought another 950 XL DS.
1116, 00-88
Reception is better
*.122 OS, *05 FW
Got Cortana working.
So far so good.
Any luck this one will stay the course.

Did the Recovery Tool--> *.29, then went to 107 via update, then *.122 by Insider.
So far no problems.
Sent it back.
