Did you prime it with a small GPS utility?

Skim thru the thread I linked to above. It might point a simply thing you changed or overlooked.

I performed my update today. I was scared for a minute,as my mogul sat at the rainbow colored screen with the label USB at the bottom of the screen for 25 minutes. Then the screen went grey with the progress bar. After another 10 minutes the update was complete. Whew!

The default Telnav software worked right off. I double checked the settings for comm and bud rate and they were already correct. I will test how well it works and may look at how google or another software option works.

Not in a big need for this, but I have had times I wish I had it.

Update: I already have the Sprint $25 data plan, so the Telnav is free to use all day every day. No need to buy any other software. Overall, for not having to shell out another $100 for software, this Telnav thing is pretty cool The google maps works nice too, but no voice navigation like Telnav.

So this is only for Sprint and will not work on Verizon? Anyone have something that works for Verizon or do I keep waiting?

Yes this is for Sprint. There are some cooked ROMs out there now that have many of the updated features that can be used on VZ phones.
