MS announced the 930 which is the 929 for international. I thought I heard on the Windows Weekly podcast that they were going to give attendees the 929/930 as a gift but the phone wasn't quite ready yet so they didn't want to give a premature product out.

@maflynn, I believe the rumor was actually that they were going to be giving out NL630's.

I heard yesterday that the Verizon icon will work in T-Mobile us network but in reframed area. But would rather get 930 when comes out if it work period on there network. Really want icon or 930 on T-Mobile bad... Any advice or suggestions. Anyone have icon on T-Mobile

I don't think the 930 will be available in the US because of VZW's exclusive on the 929, though I could be wrong on this.

I heard from a Nokia rep directly refer to the ICON as the 929 on 2 different calls with 2 different reps. That is why the 930 is the international version of the phone, not the 929....

I have icon on T-Mobile, and so far so good. No real issues for me, except the highest data speed i can get is H+

OMG jealous. Ok so did you buy it from Verizon, was it unlocked if I buy full price. How did you get it to work. And if you do a speed test.net what's the up and down speed. If you don't mind. Sorry for all question super excited.

Not to mention, when I plugged my phone into a Mac it recognized it as a Lumia 929

I have icon on T-Mobile, and so far so good. No real issues for me, except the highest data speed i can get is H+
