Hey fellow runners -

What headphones do you use with the Lumia 920 on your runs? Bluetooth? Wired? Brand? Does your particular favorite still operate the volume and work with the mic too?

I'm in the market for some headphones as my Samsung Focus pack-ins finally kicked the bucket and the other pair I have the cord isn't long enough and keeps popping out of the phone jack...

Thanks in advance y'all!

I use LG HBS700s. They're Bluetooth. I picked them up because I have a holster for my phone, but it's generic and doesn't have a hole for headphones. The LG headphones work with all controls perfectly. Definitely a worthwhile purchase, imo.

Too lazy to run, but I use the LG HBS700 like the person above me. I think they work great and imagine the would be good for runners too.

I use the Arctic P311, its a pair of bluetooth headphones that wrap around the back of your neck and are of the open headphone type. Just google it!. They sound better than my NOCS in-ear headphones that cost twice as much.

Regular Sony MDRE9LP earphones.
The Arctic P311 reminds me of the Kinivo BTH220, they look pretty much the same.

I ended up purchasing the LG Tone+ (HBS-730). I initially purchased the Yurbuds Ironman Focus headphones, but the inline controls don't work at all with the Lumia 920. It only does sound (which isn't bad), but I'd like my products to do all that their advertised to do.

So, I immediately turned those back in and purchased the LG Tone+ Bluetooth wireless headset. Pretty good so far. Controls everything, but the volume for the actual phone. It does have its own volume control which is nice, and everything else works perfectly too - spoken commands, mic, etc...

I was a little hesitant about draping something around my neck, but it is very light and not that noticeable. Though it does 'stick' to my neck a bit because of sweat...

Thanks for the recommendations y'all!

Great choice. I have them as well and they're pretty good. Just gotta start running and I'll be good.

I currently use cheap ~$10 headphones that are very light and tiny, so the cable can wrap above my ears and stay in great. There are other headphones that are better known with better build & sound quality, such as Sennheisers, (the CX200s? CX300s? I think? Last time I was looking was a few years ago...) that offer the same useful style and are inexpensive, though there are many others... I've used wireless headphones in the past, but tend to just go back to cheap, tiny headphones that can wrap over my ears and be done with. Simple. Don't need noise cancellation or isolation, (I prefer to hear if a car is about to hit me,) and I don't need great sound quality, just enough to produce a beat for me to keep up with.

I am eyeing the JayBird BlueBuds X-Sport headphones for another foray into wireless... But at $170, I'll probably continue to just be eyeing them, even though they appear to actually fill the failed initial promise of Bluetooth headphones for fitness. There are the Motorola S11-HDs, but given how lacking the S9, S9-HD, and S10s were, (which I've owned some of myself,) I've dismissed Motorola as a viable choice in this area. To be honest, they're probably the reason I haven't yet plunked down the money for the Jaybirds... I don't really trust in "Bluetooth headphones" anymore because of Motorola. (Even though I so very much still want to.)

I think it is difficult to choose the best bluetooth headphones for running. But In my opinion I think you should choose Sony SBH80 Bluetooth[/URL] in-ear headphones. With battery life enough time for a day about 6 hours and delivers better sound for running.

I had a pair of these, but they developed a short on the right ear piece. they're comfortable to wear, but a bit too fragile for my liking. I also don't think they're fond of excessive sweat. I use Jay Birds now. Those aren't perfect either. They want to pop out of your ears and they will intermittently cut out with my iPhone. They've stood up to a LOT of sweating though!

IMO, there is a ways to go before workout-grade earbuds are perfected.
