Samsung Focus on T-Mobile?

Hey everyone, new to the forum and I have one question. If I buy an unlocked Samsung Focus, is it possible to use it T-Mobile or other pay-as-you-go carriers? Or is it completely locked down to ATT?

If it's carrier unlocked then yes you can use it on T-Mo, but only on their EDGE network, as T-MO and AT&T 3G bands are not compatible. Although, you have wifi, so that could make up for the slower data speeds.
