Scratches on Screen

I have somehow put 2 pretty decent scratches on my screen. Is there anything that will fix this? I know I used to see a commercial that said you could fix this type of thing on glasses.

OK, can someone tell me if the screen protectors are worth my time and money? Do they make it tough to see the screen?

I use em and they help with scratches, and screen brightness is negligible.
